WPL-604 leveling agent

 

1. Performance characteristics:

This product is a polyether modified polyorganosiloxane material, which has the characteristics of smoothness, anti-sticking, gloss enhancement, wetting and low surface tension. It has good compatibility with ink, paint and PU slurry. It can significantly reduce the surface tension of the system, improve its flow and leveling, increase the lubrication and gloss of the coating film, and have the functions of foam removal and effective foam.

 

2. Technical indicators:

Appearance: colorless or light yellow transparent liquid

Viscosity (25°C, mPa.s): 1000～5000

Density: 1.01～1.02

Surface tension (㎡N/㎡): 23.5～24

Cloud point (1% aqueous solution): 45～55

 

3. Purpose:

1. Used as leveling agent, wetting agent, slipping agent, brightening agent and defoaming agent for paints and coatings.

2. Used as leveling agent, viscosity reducer and release agent for polyurethane slurry.

3. Other unfinished and undeveloped applications

 

4. Usage and dosage:

It is used to add 0.1% to 0.5% in the coating system, and 0.2% to 1% in the PU slurry. It can be added directly to the coating. In the PU slurry, it is generally diluted 10 times with DMF before adding it to the slurry. Just stir well.

 

5. Matters needing attention:

There may be pressure in the package, it is forbidden to open suddenly, and the lid should be opened after releasing the pressure slowly. It is forbidden to face workers, electrical equipment, and fire sources. It cannot be mixed with strong acids and strong alkalis. It is relatively stable in a system with a pH of 5, otherwise it will easily generate free hydrogen and cause an explosion. Adequate ventilation and exhaust equipment should be used, avoid eye contact, do not take internally, implement good industrial hygiene measures, please wash after handling, especially before eating, drinking and smoking. The storage period should not exceed 12 months. Long-term exposure to high temperatures above 160 degrees Celsius or mixing with acid-base substances will increase the viscosity or even cross-link

 

6. Storage and transportation:

1. This product is non-toxic and should be stored and transported as non-dangerous goods.

2. Packed in 50kg, 200kg plastic drum or iron drum.

3. This product should be stored airtight in a dry, cool and ventilated place to prevent exposure to the sun or store in an environment below 30°C; it should be stored separately, away from oxides and other chemical products; avoid close to heat sources.
